ABOUT THE
CONGO CRUISES
At the origin of the safari cruises in Congo...
At the origin of the first safari cruises in the Congo Basin, there is a meeting between adventure and elegance. A meeting between Nicolas Ducret, tireless long-distance traveler, travel writer, entrepreneur and Daria Davidova, classical singer, fervent defender of beauty and grace.
20 years of adventures led Nicolas Ducret around the world on a bicycle at just over 20 years old. A few years later, he will reach Kabul after riding 3,300 km through the steppes and mountains of Central Asia. He will dispute a Bouzkachi in the Afghan powder keg, then will follow the crossing of the Oceans with the sandstone of the winds, a passage in Darfur in the mountains of Jebel Mara, then ten years to discover Russia up and down.
The DUCRET Cruises Expeditions are also the culmination of 20 years of encounters with the peoples of the end of the world who maintain a timeless existence, in the last forgotten corners. It is also the dream of developing sustainable tourism that could allow these peoples to maintain their dignity and their way of life while highlighting their priceless but yet so fragile heritage.
Ducret Expeditions is also a leading tour operator and DMC in Central Africa. Our expertise ranges from river cruises to tailor-made road and river tours & expeditions, using mobile camps. We organize tailor-made trips and expeditions for scientists, groups, or individuals who want to discover Central Africa in comfortable conditions and travel safely to very isolated regions. We organize land expeditions in Gabon, DRC, Central African Republic, and Congo.
